This Frost King Black pad is a great solution to the noise caused by water drops hitting a rooftop AC unit. The pad is durable and heavy, made of foam with a magnet fixed tightly to the back. The product is easy to use, and vent holes can be mapped out if necessary. The drip noise is eliminated as the drops break up when hit the cut-out vent area. The product has been used for years and enjoys great quality. Similar to a magnet product, some customers experienced bugs using the pad for shelter from rain and cold weather. It is important to note that the pad does need to be replaced every six months. In terms of creating additional issues, the pad does not develop mold or mildew and customers can easily provide outside installation (with a ladder or by pulling out the unit from the window). One significant downside is that there is a severe rust issue on the AC after prolonged use.
