  • question: Do the punched/pierced holes recess into the tube?

    répondre: These sets have holes at the top and bottom. Replaced my tap washers no problems with these box spanners.
  • question: How long are the box spanners?

    répondre: They vary from 15cm up to about 30cm long for the largest size.
  • question: Will the 22mm fit standard faucet fittings?

    répondre: Should do, can't see why not...
  • question: Do the tools slot into each other to give longer reach?

    répondre: Just tried my set and none of the lesser sizes fit into the 20mm end socket - the closest is the 16mm but it was just a tad too big. Maybe the tolerances on other sets are different. Give it a try.
  • question: Would one of these work to remove a spark plug from a mountfield lawn mower?

    répondre: Unless someone has specifically used these box spanners to do this specific job I doubt that you will get a reliable answer. The only thing I can suggest is getting the spec of the spark plug and the dim for across flats (AF) this will tell you if one of these will fit. There may be enough height in the box spanner before hitting the above-though rod to accommodate the spark plug. All of this though would still require you to buy at a risk. Once you know the AF dim you can pick up a deep socket from Halfords to do the job and probably cheaper at that.
  • question: Could someone tell me the overall width (across the points) of the 16mm tool?

    répondre: Apologies for not responding sooner, measurement across points is just over 2 centimeters. Hope this is okay.
  • question: Could anyone tell me the outside diameter of the 22mm spanner?

    répondre: It's 26mm across the outside of the flats but 28mm across the outside of the points. Interestingly, it's 25.5mm across the inside of the points so I think you're really going to struggle finding a box spanner to do the job. Perhaps a pair of slim-nosed pliers would do?
  • question: Are these box keys totally tubular?

    répondre: Yes, they are. Each end is a different size so you get around 14 sizes. Have used them twice to fit taps and they work very well.
