A reviewer, who had prior experience with Scott Archery products, was disappointed with the Ghost release saying that it failed at 3/4 draw, and the arrow was lost in the pasture, and after eliminating any possibility of operator malfunction, the release was found to be defective. Another reviewer mentioned that the release started to fire mid-draw and lost 4 arrows and all confidence in the product.
